Q.        Am I buying a kit playhouse?

A.        All Honey Bear Playhomes come full assembled and as a whole are ready to be played in that very day by your eager child.

Q.        How long does it take to construct a custom Honey Bear Playhome?

A.        Generally from the time of your final draft approval we can complete your child’s playhome in 3 to 8 weeks depending upon projects already in progress. Larger or more detailed projects can sometimes take longer. At times we have pre-built models available and showcase them on our site. These pre-built playhomes are ready for delivery upon final payment.

Q.        How will the playhome be delivered and set up?

A.        Depending upon the location for placement we will deliver your new Honey Bear Playhome on a flatbed trailer being towed by a truck with a boom crane which can lift and lower your playhome without applying a great deal of stress upon the framework. If the placement is out of reach of a wheeled vehicle then the use of a crane may be necessary to lift it over any obstructions.

Q.        Is my child’s new playhome waterproof and weather tight?

A.        Your child’s new playhome is fully waterproof with 2+ layers of roofing underlayment as well as 30 year shingles covering the roof. The windows and all outside trim have all been sealed with caulk and then painted.

Q.        Can my child’s new Honey Bear Playhome be wired for electricity?

A.        Every Honey Bear Playhome comes fully wired and is ready for your electrician to finalize the connections as well as lay wires from the house to the playhouse.

Q.        Do I need to be home for the delivery?

A.        You do not have to be present at time of delivery; however, we would require written permission to deliver in your absence. This can be in the form of a fax or E-mail sent no later than 7 calendar days before delivery.  As you are the one person who must decide where the best location is to place Your new Honey Bear Playhome it is best that you are present to ensure placement is correct and to your liking.

Q.        Can I have it delivered on a weekend?

A.        If necessary, delivery can be arranged on a weekend however one month advance notice is required for Saturday delivery. Sorry we do not deliver on Sundays.

Q.        Can I have my playhome delivered to a different address then my own?

A.        Yes you can… We will need the delivery address listed on the purchase agreement and written permission from the property owner as well as their presence upon delivery.

Q.        Can my child’s playhome be moved when we do?

A.        All playhomes come equipped with permanent tow eye bolts for winching it onto a tilt trailer or a flatbed tow truck. It can also be lifted with a boom crane as it is when delivered.

Q.        Can my new Honey Bear Playhome be painted colors of my choosing before delivery?

A.        Yes… We can and will paint the exterior any color you wish. Simply go to your local home store and choose your favorite paint colors for the siding, trim and door then submit it via your sign in page.

Q.        What foundation is needed?

A.        As the playhomes come on pressure treated 4”x4” runners the playhome can be placed directly upon grass. However, it is recommended that the sod and soil be removed down 6 inches and a level compact gravel base or concrete pad is laid.

Q.        Are the windows functional?

A.        For security purposes all windows are non functional ¼ inch impact resistant Plexiglas. They are fully framed and sealed for weather resistance and security. If purchased separately tempered, double hung, and locking windows will be installed at material cost only. (No installation charges apply)

Q.        What are the recommended ages for a Honey Bear Playhome?

A.        As the entry doors are over 5 feet 3 inches tall children from 4 years of age to their late teens will find their playhome to be a perfect place to simply be a kid.
