A little about your playhome artist:

Life is truly about finding humor and joy in the littlest of things... I am a child at heart and simply love to bring a smile to those who need one. I see life as a bunch of future happy moments filled with family, friends and complete strangers.

I am a former United States Marine with a nurturing side. I spent many years caring for my recently passed, disabled Mother. It is she that was my inspiration for the name “Honey Bear Playhomes”. For my late father’s pet name for her was in fact “HONEY”. After her passing I was left with not only the sadness and loneliness but empty hours as well. You see, I had spent in the last two and one half years of her life all but 9 days and nights at her bedside. I was with her on average 20 hours per day both in and out of the hospital those 7 times. It was weeks after she had left me that I began construction of my very first Honey Bear Playhome.

Building this playhome was therapy for me and even now still continues to help me through her passing. I do however need to find a new loving family to look after it and play in for many long years to come. Honey Bear Playhomes will ensure that her last wishes are carried out. She wished to me a happy and full life after caring for her all these years and for me to finally begin a family of my own and to live life as she desired me to. By bringing joy and happiness to others…

It is my desire to immortalize her and my  Father through Honey Bear Playhomes. It is my wish that a percentage of each  future playhouse go to bringing smiles to sick little boys and girls throughout the greater Seattle area hospitals. Through stuffed animals I want to bring a momentary glimmer of joy into their hard lives. With the sale of each playhome I will purchase as many stuffed animals as I can and place a little nametag around their necks. These nametags will be my way of asking the parents to let me know how things are going with their sick little Angel.

I simply live to be of help to others and do all I can to glorify the memory of my Mom… Helene

Thanks so much for visiting...
